Departed people are not dead and gone. They have just left their physical bodies, moving into a different dimension with a finer or subtle body that we have with us all through our lives on earth anyway; we just can't see these with our physical eyes. This body is often referred to as our Astral or Ether body.

People in the world of spirit live very full and busy lives. The common prayer for the departed 'may they rest in peace' is not entirely an accurate one. If 'in peace' means quietness and stillness, there probably is a period of rest and relaxation after the transition into the spirit world, I am sure, but generally, people start to really enjoy themselves over there and spend a lot of the time doing things they didn't get round to on earth. The prayer should mean to be at peace with oneself: the ultimate goal of life's journeys.

As a medium, I have the ability to 'see' into their dimension, and, from their perspective, they find it easy to see us. This is not 'Big Brother' type watching; there are spiritual laws and a code of privacy that are adhered to. If the querent wants to make contact with someone in spirit, I tune in, and hopefully contact is made with those whom the enquirer is seeking, but that is not definitely gauranteed. All the conditions must be right, for the three of us, for the 'right 'person to come through. But maybe 7 out of 10 times we hit jackpot. Frequently , a few other family members and friends turn up too.

I always provide evidence that I am speaking to the right person, or that I am speaking to anyone at all. It is very easy for someone to say 'your Granny is here' and not back it up with evidence. So, I always get Granny to tell me something that proves it is her.

I also 'see' spirit guides, and again they have to give me evidence by telling me something about the enquirer that I couldn't possibly know otherwise. Spirit guides are usually quite fun. It seems the more advanced we become on earth, and definitely in spirit, the more mischievious and cheeky our/their sense of humour becomes. But there is always some important guidance from them as well, of course.

Sometimes, an Angel will visit, but not often. My theory, is that Angels have a very high vibration, so it may not be comfortable for them to lower their vibration to suit this earth plane. Therefore, it is easier for them to manifest, if the enquirer's and, hopefully, my vibrations are suitably high enough to make it comfortable for them. Hence, when an Angel does visit, I know that the enquirer is spiritually advancing and of quite a high vibration.

So, my mediumship takes a few forms: contact with departed loved ones, contact with Spirit Guides, contact with Nature Spirits and Rescue Work. As with my clairevoyance, I am not 'always' seeing stuff. I am in control of it and can tune in or not, apart from times when it is important for Spirit to contact me.

When this happens, I usually see a blue flash of light which means that there is a spirit person needing to make contact. I can then tune in to see who it is and why - it might be a message for someone I am with, or it may be something of a nature of great importance.
